Triathlon Results
Mark Walsh took part in the Kindrochit quadrathlon in July 2009 and came 3rd, with a time of 9.02.
Mark & Allan Fleming took part in the Aberfeldy Half ironman in August 2009. Mark came 48th in a time of 5.26 and Allan was 85th in 5hours and 55mins.
Allan also completed the Half Ben Nevis triathlon, September 2009 and came 12th (cant find his time).
Well done to you both from all at the club.
Loch Ness Marathon
Oban Half
Neil Prior and Jim Waters took part in the Loch Ness Marathon at the weekend and their results are:
Neil came 34th with a time of 2:55:56 and Jim came 49th in 2:58:54.
Well done to both of you.
Allan Moffat completed the Oban Half Marathon on Sunday 4th October in 1hr 56min. He was doing well up to about 9/10 miles and was going for sub 1hr 50min, then came the hills!
XC Relays
Well done to Jim Waters, David Pollard, Neil Prior & Mark Walsh for a great performance at the Dunbartonshire XC Relay and XC Championship races.
Allan Scally
Some members of our club took part in the Allan Scally 4.8 mile road relay event through the streets of Bailliston on Sat 01 Nov. The normal course route had to be changed, as Garscube never had any Police presence due to the football and marches within Glasgow on the same day.
Jim Waters was our first runner away and completed his lap in 29:06 (possibly the hardest lap to do! but we never told him that), who then passed over to David Pollard who came home in 28:51, Neil Prior then took the mantle and ran in 28:42 and the last lap was left to Mark Walsh who completed our team with 28:06 giving us a time of 1:54:45 which placed us in 15th position out of 44 teams.
Lochaber Half Marathon
Congratulation to Trish, Elaine and Yvonne from all at the club for their fine performance at the Eddie’s Half. You should all be proud of your achievement as we at the club are. Not sure if there was a team prize but the Dumbarton Ladies looked like they were the first team in. The results are:

National XC Championships

Lynsey - 37:03 - 92 place and Charlene - 37:59 and 107 place out of 184 runners in the ladies race.
Mark - 44:29 - 89 place; Jim - 47:05 - 153 place; Neil - 47:39 - 173 place; Alan - 49:39 - 222 place and David 50:33 in 240 place out of 447 runners in the mens race.
