Our Club elders have decided that in conjunction with the Road Race and Cross Country Club Race Series, we should have a Hill Race Series as well ! This will take us from the summer months through to the winter. This new event will take in some of the hills in the local area and points will be awarded on positios. Dates and race locations are in the Club Race Series Page.

West Dunbartonshire Athletics Club (WDAC) is looking for helpers/coaches to assist us in providing quality training to the children of the local area.

We provide coaching and training in all track and field disciplines including: running, high jump, long jump, hurdles, shot putt, javelin, discus and hammer.

Our coaching sessions are delivered within a fun and open environment to ensure that our members are educated to realize that sport is something that can improve their life and should be an integral part of their culture. Our main priority is to improve youth sport and provide sport and physical activity programs which are promoted and delivered to school aged children and above with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment.

We train on a Monday and Thursday evenings between 6 & 7:30pm at Posties Park. We use the new all-weather long jump, shot putt and high jump areas to enhanced training for the children.

We are looking for people that have an interest in sport and would like to share their experience with others. If you could spare a few hours either on a Monday or Thursday weekly, fortnightly or monthly and you wish to do it on a regular basis, then we will provide funding so that you can gain your level 1 coaching certificate.
